Sarah Comstock
Ms . Comstock is a native of Louisville who started as a gymnast, and began her formal dance training a U of L Dance Academy with Cynthia Bronner, Cher Carnell, Chuck Bronson, and Helen Starr. She spent summers studying with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School, School of American Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet School. In 1995, Sarah joined the Louisville Ballet. Becoming a soloist in 2000, she danced Alice in Alice in Wonderland, the Singing Spy in David Parsons' The Envelope, Kitri in the full length Don Quixote, and a principal in Balanchine's Who Cares?, as well as works by Tudor, Paul Taylor and Choo San Goh. Sarah currently resides in Tennessee and has most recently performed with Northwest Florida Ballet, Beth McNeill's Women's Project, New Performing Arts, and Chattanooga Ballet. In December of 2003, she was our special guest in "Clara's Dream" and taught in our Intensive 2004.
David Goud
Mr. Goud comes back to the Dance Academy after dancing the role of Cavalier in the 2003 "Clara's Dream" and teaching in our Intensive 2004. He started ballet at the age of fifteen to augment his competitive Tae Kwon Do. Just four years later, he moved from Indianapolis to join the Louisville Ballet where he quickly became a principal dancer. Some of his favorite roles have been Balanchine's Apollo and The Steadfast Tin Soldier, Basilio in Don Quixote, and the Kin in David Parsons' The Envelope. David is currently Principal Dancer and company Teacher with the Chattanooga Ballet. He works nationally as a Guest Artist and Teacher.
Theresa Bautista
Ms. Bautista will be teaching modern classes during the Summer Intensive. Theresa has a background in ballet and modern dance and is a graduate of Indiana University. She is currently performing with Mayamo Dance Co. and ART!ART! Barking Dog Modern Dance Co. in Louisville, KY. She also has strong ties with the Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts and is on the Dance Faculty for this prestigious school for gifted and talented rising juniors and seniors from Kentucky high schools.
