Cynthia Bronner
Co-Director of the University of Louisville Dance Academy and Dance Theatre
Cynthia has been teaching in the Academy full-time since 1980. She holds an M.A. in dance from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and a B.A. in psychology from the University of Louisville.  As an officer of SERBA (Southeastern Regional Ballet Association), she is active in regional ballet and sits on the Ursuline School for the Performing Arts oversite committee.

Chuck Bronson
Co-Director of the University of Louisville Dance Academy and Dance Theatre

Chuck has been teaching at the Academy since 1981.  He holds a B.A. in English from Bellarmine.  He has taught special classes at the Kentucky School for the Blind, created dance integration workshops for JCPS teachers, has lesson plans published in the KET Dance Toolkit, and has won awards for choreography including the William Habich Scholarship at the Southeastern Regional Ballet Association Festival and the Al Smith Fellowship from the Kentucky Arts Council.

Kathleen Anderson
Kathleen has taught for the Cincinnati Ballet, the New Orleans Ballet, the New Orleans Contemporary Dance Company, and the Louisville Ballet Civic Company. She holds a B.F.A. and M.A. in dance from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and trained at the American Ballet Theatre School and the UofL Dance Academy.

Theresa Bautista
Theresa is a graduate of Indiana University and on the Dance Faculty for the KY Governor's School for the Arts.  She teaches extensively in the Kentuckiana area and performs with The Dance Collective.  The Dance Academy is pleased to have Ms. Bautista to teach modern full-time this year.


Katrina Gary
Katrina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Arts Administration from Butler University. Katrina owns a dance school in LaGrange and has been teaching for UofL Dance Academy since 2003.

Mary Jane Westbrook

Mary Jane Westbrook is a Kentucky native who graduated Magma Cum Laude from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While there, she received a B.A. in dance concentrating in ballet and jazz. Soon after graduating, she danced for Busch Gardens Entertainment in Williamsburg, VA. She is so excited to be the newest member of the University of Louisville Dance Academy.


Jenny Willis
Jenny Willis holds a B.S. in Health and Human Performance and a M.S. in Exercise Physiology from U of L.  An NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist, Jenny continues to dance with the U of L Dance Theatre while working as a personal trainer and dance teacher at Louisville Athletic Club. She has taught children's classes throughout the community, Creative Movement for several years in the Dance Academy, and has been the primary substitute in the ULDA.
